Nico Bolzico is known for his many hats – an entrepreneur, social media icon, and above all is his dedication to his family. We always see his funny and heartwarming videos revolving around his wife Solenn, and daughter Thylane, doing gags and simply bonding. A passionate man over a lot of things, there is another side of Nico that we can include in his passions – his love for the Bolzico family’s furry companion, Pochi, an American Akita.
Pochi has been with Nico for 7 years. She is a vital part of the family’s happiness, known to be gentle with Thylane even as a large dog. “It’s amazing how dogs could understand and show love in their own ways to their family members. We may not be like them, but in their eyes they see us as one of them and will give us a special place in their life,” said Nico. “It’s just right we pay them back with the utmost care we could give.”
Nico has been an advocate of giving more than just the bare minimum to our furry friends. He is advancing to see the Philippines with a culture of embracing trusted fur-babies as a part of the family.
“As a pet parent myself, I take care of Pochi with the same passion as I take care of ‘Tili’ (Thylane). One thing I always make sure is I get the right food for Pochi, which has been a big challenge for me. Throughout the years, I have never found one that is truly made for her needs as a dog.”, said Nico.
Being a connoisseur himself in the livestock, agriculture, and feeds business, this challenge has led Bolzico into developing his own pet food brand. “The challenge of giving Pochi the best dog food led me into developing Petchola, a grain-free pet food true to a dog’s natural diet. I based the name from Pochi’s, since she is the reason why I produced Petchola,” shared Bolzico.
