Yes — they built Porsche cars from scratch in the middle of a coffee shop as though it was a live band performing.
Angie Mead King alongside Second Skin Industries founder Archie Chiang exhibited the art of building cars as their team of talented mechanics worked and transformed the classic, sleek, and silver Porsche 993 into a Midnight Green “Ark Angel” wrapped Inozetek’s foil.

You can read it from the faces of those who came, both scared and excited. “They were scared because they know how rare and delicate these cars are… But the end result is also something they look forward to.” Archie shares.
Jitters electrified the entire space as the guests dined and sipped their iced lattes all while watching Angie King work her magic, leading the team of mechanics to tinker on the charming Porsche cars.
From building the machine’s engine, suspension work, dashboard design, wrapping, and the final touches; Angie was hands-on with eyes on every detail. Her favorite part? “Pre-planning is the most exhilarating part of the process. Designing the end product, bringing in the materials and tools, tapping in the skills of the team— everything I rehearse repeatedly in my head. All my cars are creative sparks.”

Angie shared that her passion for cars goes back to their childhood days. She was reminded of her father who passed on his passion for cars to Angie. With this, she translated this hobby into a business. She would collect, redesign, and race cars in the country. And who knew one day she would eventually host a live build-in innovation in the car industry.
All guests were given the rare opportunity to watch the team assemble the Porsche cars, witness every grunt work exhausted to revamp the vehicle, led by Angie. They were welcome to look at the tools and materials used.

Archie, warm and welcoming, gave credit to Angie who he was so grateful to collaborate with for this event. “It’s pretty cool. I’m really overwhelmed by the car community from different walks of life who came to support our craft,” Archie shares with a big smile on his face. When asked why a coffee shop? “Cars and coffee go together,” he explains. “We meet up for race drives at Karrera. I enjoy my coffee while driving.” When you gather a group of people passionate about the same hobby, good energy permeates. “People from different walks of life dropped by to check out the live build. This will be the start of many,” Archie shares with hope.

Real stories. Real people.
We believe that life isn’t about a binary of ones and zeros – but about the sum of our hopes and dreams, our struggles and heartaches, our tragedies and triumphs.
The things that unite us are far stronger than the things that divide us.
And those stories are why we are alike.
