The vibrant spirit of the global Chinese community took center stage as twenty-three outstanding individuals of Chinese descent gathered in the Philippines for the coronation of Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global 2026. The prestigious event was held at the iconic Smart Araneta Coliseum, widely known as the Big Dome, marking the highly anticipated second edition of the international pageant.
Co-hosted by Marc Nelson, Janeena Chan, Taiwan’s Kevin Tai, and Pageant Director Nicole Cordoves, the grand celebration highlighted identity, leadership, and cross-cultural unity within Chinese communities worldwide.

Presented by CHiNOY TV and Oishi, Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global 2026 expanded significantly from its inaugural edition. Participation grew from nine countries to fifteen this year, reinforcing the pageant’s mission to showcase the global presence and influence of Chinese heritage. From historic districts such as Binondo, recognized as the world’s oldest Chinatown, to thriving Chinese communities across continents, the competition underscored cultural pride and global representation.
A major highlight of this year’s edition was the launch of the Christelle Chow Tan Legacy for Gastric Care and Support. This meaningful initiative was introduced in partnership with Sagip Buhay Medical Foundation and Mount Elizabeth Hospital, further strengthening the pageant’s purpose-driven advocacy.

The coronation night featured dynamic production numbers, cinematic visuals, and inspiring performances, including a special set by OPM icon Jose Mari Chan. Candidates competed in three major segments: Resorts Wear, Formal Wear, and the Final Question. A distinguished panel of judges, including Laurenti Dyogi of ABS-CBN and beauty queen Nicole Borromeo, evaluated the contestants based on confidence, intelligence, and authentic representation.
At the end of an evening marked by excellence and cultural celebration, new global ambassadors were crowned. Malaysia secured the male title for the second consecutive year, with Ang Wei Yang named Mr. Chinatown Global 2026. Canada’s Tyra Rosnuk earned the title of Ms. Chinatown Global 2026. Switzerland’s Oliver Liu Xu and Thailand’s Khaohom Passawalee were announced as 1st Runners-Up, while Canada’s Yi Fang Gao and Malaysia’s Belle Nanphasorn claimed the 2nd Runners-Up positions.
