Following the success of his sold-out concert in February, Filipino singer-songwriter Ebe Dancel has released a new single last Saturday (February 1, 2020) and it is another tear jerker!
Another #Marupok anthem
Originally written for and first performed by Paolo Valenciano in 2014, ‘Hanggang Kailan Kita Mahihintay’ speaks about a love that seems to be accepting to change despite and in spite of everything, but yearns to know how long would it take for him to adjust (because at the end of the day, we just all need assurance). #Marupok
This is not the first time that Ebe Dancel made us cry. From Bawat Daan, Huwag Ka Nang Umiyak (the famous Ang Probinsyano song), Prom (the official soundtrack of Never Not Love You) and now with Hanggag Kailan Kita Mahihintay.
The song highlights not only Dancel’s powerful vocals, but also his talent in putting genuine, relatable, and honest emotions into beautiful, moving and heart-rending lyrics.
The single is produced by Chino David, who is also the musical director of Dancel’s upcoming concert on February 29, 2020 (Saturday).
‘Hanggang Kailan Kita Mahihintay’ is now available on Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer.
Sold-out Concert
As part of Dancel’s celebration of his 20th year in music, ‘Ebe Dancel with The Manila String Machine’ is Dancel’s first-ever major solo concert. Tickets were made available last October 30, 2019 and were sold out in only 12 hours.
“We knew from the beginning that Ebe’s concert was going to be very popular, so my team started to prepare our platform weeks before the tickets went live,” shares Darwin Mariano, Founder and CEO of Ticket2Me, the ticketing partner for the concert.
“On the day it did, [though], the support from Ebe’s fans overwhelmed our system – from an average of 35,000-40,000 site requests, we received over 60,000 site requests during the first hour of selling alone. By the time the tickets were sold out later that evening, we had received almost 500,000 site requests!”
Wow! We can’t wait!
