Eastwood Richmonde Hotel Celebrates 15 Years of Homegrown Hospitality

Eastwood Richmonde Hotel (ERH) marked its 15th anniversary in tandem with its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, gathering longtime patrons, media partners, and distinguished guests for a warm and intimate celebration. With the theme “15 and Beyond: Forward Filipino Hospitality,” the event honored the hotel’s proud homegrown legacy and highlighted its continued commitment to championing Filipino culture through purposeful hospitality initiatives.

Jun Justo, Megaworld Hotels & Resorts NCR+ Cluster General Manager and ERH General Manager, formally opened the program by recalling how ERH became the blueprint for Megaworld Corporation’s township developments as the first hotel established in Eastwood City, the company’s inaugural mixed-use community. An audiovisual presentation followed, paying tribute to the hotel’s dedicated employees, known as Enrichers, whose service, passion, and professionalism have shaped Richmonde’s distinct brand of warmth and hospitality.

Their messages underscored ERH’s enduring impact on local tourism and community development, highlighting its contributions to Quezon City’s economy and cultural preservation through MHR’s signature Filipino brand of service, the Sampaguita, along with its efforts toward sustainable and inclusive tourism.

The anniversary program concluded with a celebratory toast led by MHR Group General Manager Art Boncato, followed by the traditional countdown to the lighting of the hotel’s Christmas tree and its custom Sampaguita-inspired Capiz lantern, officially ushering in the holiday season.

Guests were then welcomed to Eastwood Café+Bar for a meticulously crafted six-course dinner prepared by MHR Corporate Chef Panky Lopez and ERH Executive Chef Peter Paluga. The menu featured inventive Filipino dishes such as Salmon Sinigang Steak and Caldereta Tiger Pie, reflecting the hotel’s modern and creative interpretations of beloved local favorites.
