Time Master Partners with Habitat for Humanity to Respond to COVID Crisis

May 28, 2020 – Clarice Oyales

As events, challenges, and responses continue to present themselves to us, we, as a nation, are collectively urging —looking for ways to get around and to keep everyone’s head above water. This bewildering time may cripple, delay, and weaken our means of living, but this health crisis has agreeably magnified the time for coming together to become better.

Working round the clock to look for more helpful ways is a local watch brand Time Master Watches. The brand celebrated its third anniversary through launching its first automatic timepiece, the Apollo, but since TMW does not want to waste a second not helping, owner and CEO, Brian Poe Llamanzares, has decided to donate a portion of the sales generated by the Apollo watch to helping fellow Filipinos combat this disease.

Brian chose to partner with Habitat for Humanity Philippines to conduct a concerted COVID-19 response effort. Habitat for Humanity Philippines is a global non-profit housing organization committed to build strength, stability, and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Brian has been volunteering as a youth ambassador for the said NGO since 2014 building homes in Bohol, Bantayan Island, and other parts of the country.

“I’m proud to announce our partnership with Habitat for Humanity! We will be dedicating a portion of our sales to support their Covid-19 response efforts. This program will help to support hygiene and sanitation projects to protect communities across the Philippines,” declared Brian.

Seeing an opportunity to give back, Brian and his team did not think twice to look for an NGO to partner with to help Filipinos in need. Proud of his latest project Brian said that more than the watch, it’s the thought of giving that makes this particular timepiece truly special. “It’s a great watch and the supplies are limited, but what I like most about it is the fact that every time our customers look at their watch they will remember that they gave to protect our people when the country needed it the most,” he stresses out.

The Apollo is a tourbillon, chronograph, automatic watch retailing at Php 12,500.00 per piece. This high-end luxury watch was designed by Brian and his team and currently has limited supplies. Due to the health crisis, access to supplies have made it difficult to produce more and the sale of the watch will be done purely online. That means that if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one, then you’re probably one of a handful of Filipinos to own an Apollo.

But the last time we checked, this is not the first time Time Master Watches has worked with a non-government organization to help struggling communities. Their previous watch, the Poseidon, was dedicated to provide education for those in need through the help of Alex Eduque’s MovEd project.

There is no time to lose when it comes to helping. And our hearts are full of gratitude to see help abound.
