Radiant light falls beautifully on the golden skin of one of today’s most gorgeous muses. Curves in all the right places, confidence in her alluring eyes, and a lovable warm personality, Kelsey Merritt is making her name known across the globe.

It is on the beautiful beaches of the Bahamas where Kelsey made another top model dream come true—posing for the much-awaited annual swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated. She’s also the first Filipina to do so.

The 22-year-old is also up for the Rookie of the Year award which is partly based on the popularity vote. Fans can vote as many times as they want for Kelsey within the day—they just have to be patient with the refresh button. Previous title winners from the Rookie Class were Chrissy Teigen (2010), Kate Upton (2011), and Barbara Palvin (2016).

“These are goals I’ve always had as a model, as a Filipino model. This was always something I wanted to give to my country cause they’ve always wanted representation,” Kelsey shared in a Sports Illustrated Now interview.

“Being able to give that to my country and I am able to sort of let them into the experience. It’s amazing that I get to do this. To be the first is insane,” she added.

She moved to New York two years ago and broke ground when she became the first Filipino model to walk the iconic Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2018.

That’s right, Kelsey’s showing all the dreamers how to break what was always thought as impossible.
