Gabbi Garcia talks about her go-to makeup staple and vlogging

July 08, 2019 – Vinz Lamorena

On her days off, Gabbi Garcia is just like the rest of us—relying on her skincare routine and a ton of sunscreen to do their magic.

“On normal days, I don’t use too much foundation. I just depend a lot on my skincare and I don’t wear any other makeup but my lip and cheek tint,” the actress shared. The 20-year-old Maybelline ambassador was seen wearing the brand’s latest lip formulation: The Sensational Liquid Matte Lip Tint in her favorite shade, Made Easy.

“I love Made Easy, it’s not too dark, so it’s good for the day and night. It’s my go-to and I just love how it stays,” Gabbi revealed. “This is no showbiz, ha. I love small bags and the tendency is my makeup kit doesn’t fit. I just bring my eyelash curler and my lip tint—it’s good enough for my lips, my cheeks, and my eyes.”

Maybelline’s lip creation has 10 shades on its lineup, covering the neutral basics of pinks, mauves, and nudes. Its range has options for a red, wine, and coral, too, and its soft matte texture makes it easy to blend and blot. Gabbi’s top choices from this collection are Made Easy, Sensationally Me, and Best Babe.

This creamy matte tint dries a lot like a liquid lipstick, but the one-swipe wonder is comfortably lightweight and isn’t too sticky despite its long-lasting formula. The liquid tint is also introduced as a go-to for a flush of color on the cheeks, giving you a demure and dewy glow.

She can skip everything else in her beauty routine, but the tint is Gabbi’s obvious makeup staple. She shared that she loves the sun-kissed look, mostly playing with peach and coral hues.

The actress also revived her YouTube channel as July began, and earlier this week, Gabbi has reached over a hundred thousand subscribers. While she considers herself a newbie vlogger, it was her Hong Kong video with her boyfriend, Khalil Ramos, that made her decide to be more active in filming more personal aspects of her life. Just recently, their food crawl in Parañaque was posted.

“My YouTube channel has been there for a while, but I’m not that active. But now I’m really trying to be. People actually watch my vlog, so why not keep doing it? I asked my fans if I should continue [making vlogs] and I asked what their suggestions were and boom—we made a vlog out of boredom,” Gabbi shared.

Maybe we’ll see a makeup tutorial on her channel soon?
