March 19, 2019 – Vinz Lamorena
Everyone’s favorite contemporary R&B singer posted a video entering a South-bound toll gate while he listened to Radiohead’s “Creep.” Daniel Caesar’s geotag was crystal clear: Manila, Philippines.
What still remains to be in the haze is the reason for his visit. That is, until Karpos Multimedia posted 13-second video that featured the dropping of the beat of “Get You,” one of the artist’s famous songs from Grammy-nominated album, “Freudian.”
It's the same events company that brought Daniel Caesar to the Wanderland stage in 2018. Karpos Multimedia teased that its followers should tune in to their digital platforms come 10 AM tomorrow (Mar. 20).
Fans are left to guess at this point, but we’re hoping we’d be treated to a live studio performance, and maybe the announcement of Daniel Caesar headlining a Karpos Live show this 2019.
Last year, the Manila-based production house introduced a series of shows where both local and international artists enjoyed the intimacy and magnetic energy of the Filipino crowd. Each show had two main artists man the stage for the night, performing their greatest hits and new releases for two hours—that’s already a full show in concert standards. Among the performers were HONNE, Tom Misch, Anderson.Paak, Cigarettes After Sex, and Bruno Major.
Karpos Live productions also stage equally intriguing talents as front acts and the country's top local musicians, among them Ben&Ben, Clara Benin, Up Dharma Down, and Jess Connelly. Daniel Caesar's soulful style sit comfortably with the laidback vibe and mix of genres that Karpos Live's string of featured artists embody.
We’re ready to be swooned once more, Daniel Caesar. Now, if you love us, won’t you say something?
